TECSUN PL-368 is a portable PLL DSP multiband receiver that can receive FM, Longwave (LW), Medium Wave (MW) and Shortwave (SW) frequency bands and is Single Sideband (SSB) capable. The DSP microchip digitizes the analog radio signal which, in combination with the PLL (Phase-Locked Loop) circuitry, greatly improves the radio's sensitivity, selectivity, S/N ratio and anti-interference capability.
The PL-368 receiver has Tecsun's new ETM+ feature, which gives the possibility of setting up time-specific memories for long wave (LW), medium wave (AM) and shortwave (SW).
Its vertical design is reminiscent of the PL-360 and PL-365, but now also offers a keypad for more convenient direct frequency selection. However, unlike its predecessors that use 3 x AA-sized batteries, the PL-368 is powered by 1 x BL-5C lithium battery. The battery can be charged by connecting the radio to a 5V USB charger (not included), one similar to those used for most smartphones and tablets.

I have the PL 880 and go this one as backup. Well, they are both excellent radios. Read my review on the PL 880 too. PL 368 is just as good bringing in stations as the PL 880. Sound is better on the PL 880. With Tangzu planar earphones both sound awesome on FM. If you are on a budget you cannot go wrong getting this radio. I live in rural Texas. 250 miles from San Antonio, 300 from Dallas. Both come in really good. The external ferrite comes in handy. My AN-48x is a little better. About 15 db better sometimes 20 on signal. That said, you are talking about a loop antenna compared to a small ferrite antenna. Ferrite surprised me though, living out here. Brings in Dallas really good. AN-48x has a little more strength. That helps indoors. Outside the ferrite is all I need. I like to experiment since I'm retired. Amazing radio for the size. The built in antenna does pretty good but living where I do I'm glad they supply the external ferrite antenna. Awesome shipping. Came to me a little early. Got the battery with mine. Already charged and ready to go. Just like my PL 880. For the money and form factor you cannot beat the PL 368. Well worth the money.

I took the Tecsun PL-368 on a field trip to test its performance. To my delight it poerformed very well locating broadcast bands, FM channels and the MW band. SSB was on a par or close to the Tecsun PL-330. Those familiar with the recent (2021) Tecsun products will find it intuitive and easy to work with. This is a radio that covers what most people are looking for and does it well for few dollars. The ability to change bandwidth and zerobeat the frequency is an advantage in this radio. There is no other radio I'm aware of that offers the features and performance in this form factor at such a reasonable price point. Tecsun has another winner! Makes a great gift too!
