SHIPPING DELAYS

Dear Radio Enthusiasts,
We appreciate the support that you have giving us over the years and especially during COVID-19 pandemic. Although the COVID-19 outbreak initially did not cause too many problems for us here in Hong Kong, now that it has spread worldwide and there is a surge of infections in most countries, delivery services are experiencing delays or suspensions.
Not only is there is a substantial reduction in the number of international flights, but customs clearance operations, postal services and couriers experience unprecedented volume increases and limited employee availability due to the impacts of COVID-19.
What this means is that (some) services to certain countries have been suspended, whereas to other countries certain services are experiencing longer delivery times than what would normally may be expected. In some cases it may also take longer than normally to receive tracking information updates. The delivery cost for services may also be higher than what you are used to, because competition for available cargo space has pushed up freight prices. We hope this will normalise in the coming months.
